The distinct appearance of this fleece is a direct descendant of some of the original pile fleece jackets that first hit the alpine and mountaineering circles in the late 1970s and early 80s. The properties of this fleece traps warm air to insulate, especially when worn under a shell. I love this thing!!! I love everything I buy from PDW! Everything I buy I’m so satisfied with and this does not disappoint! I live in Reno and work in Tahoe/Truckee and it gets cold in Truckee! After I slap this on I’m so comfortable! Almost everyone I come into contact with compliments me and asks were I got it from!

Amazing piece of gear!
I liked the look of it on the website and was hoping it looked as good when I received it. I was not disappointed!! The fit is spot on, the material is top notch, and I love the Universal Field Gray color. Will definitely put this to use for the remainder of the "winter" here in GA and into early spring! Will definitely look into purchasing another in a different color!

I wish I could say I’ve worn this hoodie on some sort of trip, adventure or even a vacation to somewhere cool…but nope. I just work outside all year long. Like every day. So I bought this to keep me warm…and it’s awesome!
