A.G. Cashmere Shemagh
PDW developed this unique premier grade shemagh for 2+ season use with an emphasis for fall and winter conditions. Unlike cotton, which is useless when wet in cold conditions, cashmere yarns continue to insulate. Expertly woven in a familiar weight to the classic cotton shemagh, our cashmere version is 3X warmer than any wool neckwear in the same weight class. When sourcing the cashmere yarns used, PDW went to the finest mills at the source in Mongolia, a core region where cashmere has been processed for thousands of years. Our select cashmere yarns are some of the world's finest.
As worn and used by the mounted warriors of Genghis Khan centuries ago, you can take full advantage of this superior natural fiber to use in the wilderness and modern world of today. The PDW A.G. Shemagh is uncompromising modern performance using the king of natural fibers. Configurable in a multitude of ways, you can use it as a scarf, oversized neckerchief, and tie it in any way a traditional shemagh can.

I was surprised at the warmth of the shemagh. I have other thicker shemaghs and this one is as warm if not warmer. I would have given it 5 stars but it is not hemmed so I am not as rough with it as my merino wool shemaghs and would not take it into the field. Urban and town yes but not in the woods.M
The Shemagh is extremely soft and incredibly warm for its weight. I wore it for a blustery cold weekend in the city and it performed admirably. I’m looking forward to putting it through its paces in the weeks and months ahead. DO NOT HESITATE if you are on the fence about picking this up, totally worth the cost.P
I've finally had a chance to really test the Cashmere Shemagh. I spent a week in Nunavut in mild winter conditions, windy but only -16 C. The Shemagh was excellent to keep the wind from biting too much. The real test was this past week in the Northwest Territories with temperatures dipping to the -40s, into -50 C with windchill. The Shemagh was perfect to wrap around my face and head. It kept my cheeks and nose warm and even stayed soft despite the frozen moisture from breathing. I am very happy with it, feel it will hold up to rough use getting stuffed in pockets and packs, and will remain a reliable piece of my cold weather kit.A
I have a few cashmere pieces and this seems to be really well made, and is incredibly comfortable. Quality cashmere is expensive but it's a long term investment. Versatile size, a great weave, happy with my purchase.A
I purchased one and immediately put it to use. First off the bad... 1. The edge is unfinished and frays away pretty easy if your rough with it. 2. The weave could be tighter, gaps open with some pulling. 3. The tag should be removed first and foremost!. Now the good. 1. The warmth is superior to any fabric. 2. The fluff and comfort of the fabric is extremely soft and supple on the skin! 3. The size is very convenient and useful. I ride a motorcycle every day and use it to tuck under the chin guard of the helmet. Awesome at stopping the winds but the Velcro on my jacket is it's kryptonite. Overall worth the money? IMHO yes, with care and understanding of the fabric it is a very beneficial part of my winter EDC.
