These All Terrain Duffels are built for those who find adventure anywhere, rain or shine, on land or in the sea. When you see our frog logo, it means our product is ready to get wet, rained on, and submerged. If you packraft, scuba, portage, surf, kayak, live in the PNW, trek in the jungles of SE Asia, or fly puddle jumpers, these All Terrain Duffels are for you.
My wife and I travel a lot, and we've been through the usual rotation of heavy-duty duffels. Started as everyone does with one named for an alpine feature, went to thinner ones named for a fossil for the weight savings, and haven't really been satisfied with either. We got this bag for a 3-week trip through Madagascar, and it performed beyond our expectations. Light, burly, keeps its shape well, easily removed shoulder straps for that stressful moment at check-in, handles in the right places, lots of tiedown options. Best of all, NO HUGE LOGOS. The design is chilled out and not a theft target.
If I had to come up with negatives, the hook & loop carry handle link attachment isn't as secure as it could be (a snap would help) and mesh packing cubes do not play nice with the TiZip. But that's it. If you're on the fence, get it and don't look back.
Excellent quality on this product. I am packing now for a trip to the Great Northwest. I am sure I will be able to test the water proofing of the bag!
Used the 60L duffle for a kayak camping 3 day trip recently. Size fit all our sleeping gear, plus a few cooking items well. We did get some water in the bag, but that could have been user error by not ensuring the zipper was fully secured. I water tested it in the bathtub and shower after and had zero water drops inside. Only complaint would be I with the T handle on the zipper pull was wider as it can come undone from the keeper a bit too easily with movement. Going to buy another one tho as the backpack option to carry and overall design and performance is great.
This is a nice sturdy duffel bag that is plenty big to carry a bunch of my gear but also weather and dust proof enough to ride on my Land Cruisers roof rack through sandstorms, torrential rain, or blizzard. The backpack straps also make this line of bags great for airport traverses as well.
Cheers to PDW for another great design!
