The OS3 Pack Knife is a compact pack and field knife featuring a S35VN blade, fully sandwiched, 2-color, black and OD green, G10 handle design, engineered for weight reduction, and to be quick in the hand. Accompanying this fixed blade is a hand crafted, classic, stacked leather sheath with multiple mounting options. The OS3 was inspired by some of our Chief Designer's favorite fixed blade knives while growing up. Conflating these classic design concepts and updating the overall outcome with a modern twist, he arrived with this model. Ample jimping provides extra grip when handling this knife in various positions, drilled out handles help reduce the overall weight and the simple spear point blade with a subtle upper swedge will tackle just about any general purpose cutting chore in the field. Instead of the expected Kydex type sheath, we went with a classic stacked leather sheath, that was hand made and also feature a unique back that is compatible with our HAL1 straps to provide even more mounting options, like attaching to vertical pack straps. The 8" OAL with 4" handle allows the user to palm the handle if desired and is just a good all around usable size when backpacking and camping.

I love the way the knife feels and looks. I like the leather holster but also a kydex options would have been nice, guess I will have to make a custom one for it. The steel is a good one but you should have engraved the SV35 on the other side of the blade not only the PDW logo. I’m just knit picking, it’s a knife and it those what it’s supposed to do.

Nice little carry fixed blade.
Great little back up knife. Great blade steel… not very thick compared to a bark river Gunny. Only downfall is edge could of been ground higher
Thank you for the review Luigi. We'll jot down your suggestions and consider them for any possible future runs.
