Made in the USA with with tried-and-true, traditional industrial sewing techniques and fully stitched construction. Featuring our highly breathable, 4-way stretch Expedition Cloth soft-shell exterior and fully lined with our Guide Cloth, this hoodie is designed with numerous practical features for highly versatile use in the field in varied cool-cold weather conditions. The Paladin Hoodie is made for those are more than just capable, speak softly, carry big sticks and the self-reliant who can move with confidence in wild to dangerous places.

For over 26 years our Chief Designer has been creating some of the most sought after performance apparel made. From his own lifelong experiences in the wilderness to feedback from numerous individuals who have been embedded in the most rugged and unforgiving places on our planet, he will create these useful, practical, and versatile designs. You'll never find goofy stylized asymmetrical pockets or useless, decorative pleats on PDW's designs. If it doesn't serve a purpose, then it doesn't belong. 

Extra details in the garment's design such as double reinforced elbows, gusseted sleeve pockets, additional storage pockets and the signature loop panels for morale patches, all add to the whole of the jacket. Our company Founder and Chief Designer introduced loop panels to technical apparel some 25 years ago and set into motion this functional design detail to be adopted industry-wide.

Our technical garments are an outcome of the academic functions required. This soft-shell hooded jacket is tasked with keeping the user protected against wind, chill-cold, and damp, or otherwise varied environmental conditions. While not a "rain jacket", this style blocks snow, drizzle and damp conditions from the user, while remaining highly breathable and highly mobile by virtue of the 4-way stretch fabrics used. The Paladin's strength comes from it's durability, versatility, and capability; very good at many things allowing the wearer to keep going, longer.

The Paladin Hoodie is made with our custom Expedition Cloth. A specially milled, 9.1oz, soft-shell material that is exceptionally breathable, abrasion resistant, durable and stretchy. PDW developed this material to go the distance and like its namesake, is expedition grade where long service life is necessary to withstand the rigors of protracted field use.

On average, PDW apparel is designed and made to last a minimum of 5 seasons. Durability, high level function, performance and less waste are integral to PDW's product mission. While actual mileage is highly subjective and based on an individual's use and lifestyle, we strive to build goods to last, beyond the industry's typical life cycle standards, and we do not subscribe to wasteful "fast fashion" or disposable consumerism.

The Paladin Hoodie is legacy design and made under our Special Projects Division label as a Limited Edition production run. The “Special Projects Division” is tasked with creating experimental runs, limited production editions, collaborations, tackling unusual design challenges, and creating unexpected but useful results that may often change and/or improves the nature of things in a particular context.
