Raider Field Short Canvas+ - ATB

Made with our custom woven, 11oz cotton canvas with 2% Spandex for a touch of extra movement. The build quality starts with the finest in materials, custom made to our spec. Cotton canvas is not thermoplastic and will not melt. It does not build up static electricity, which is important in workshop environments, especially around combustible gases and liquids. Cotton canvas is also absorbent and has a high heat conductivity making it more comfortable in warm to hot workshop conditions. 

Not only are these shorts purpose driven in design, they also feature a long standing PDW tradition of carefully considered details to suit the discriminating user who is well versed in EDC. From the dedicated EDC tool pockets, to the custom made Delta-ring clip points, accessory welt pocket for smartphones, and more, the Raider Short covers the core and all in a clean, uncluttered appearance.

These shorts represent some of the last bastions of expertly made, American garment manufacturing. Made in small production batches, with industrial grade triple needle stitching, ample bar-tacks for extra durable reinforcements, and also a very high level of refinement and tolerances that have even impressed custom suit tailors. PDW carefully considers and then applies a host of design details into the making of these shorts. From the angles of the pockets, double layers of materials to reinforce areas of highest wear, buttons that will never pop off from loose stitching, specifically assigned belt loop spacing, horseshoe gusset for freedom of movement, and more; all come together for a superlative, product outcome.  

PDW has not nor will it ever subscribe to so-called "fast fashion". It's simply not within our DNA. First and foremost, our apparel designs are purpose built, form follows function. The "styling and good looks" are a natural consequence and byproduct of pragmatism, intention, and smart design. We build our garments to last for many reasons. We don't want to wear junk or garments that fall apart, we don't want to waste our money on things that are quickly disposed of; we want garments to wear day in and day out, and last season after season.
