Most anyone understands the fundamental importance of starting a fire when in the field and in a wilderness survival scenario. While we are also strong proponents of being proficient in starting fires with other methods and/or tools such as the ferro rod to drill bow, having an easily accessible, reliable and durable lighter is indispensable and much more expedient in starting a life saving fire (or even if just to make all important s'mores).

Using refillable, classic lighter fluid, white gas, or even jet fuel; this device ignites via the sparking "flint" wheel. Precision milling with modern CNC and silicone o-ring constructions ensures tighter tolerances for longer storage life and features a tried and true industrial knurled surface to facilitate positive contact when opening and closing.

Excelent addition as a zipper pull to any EDC pack. Tight seal (fuel does not evaporate) and not too big. Better than a Bic that for me anyway, seems to always get jostled around to the point that, when I need it, is often out of butane. Good gear to have.
