Overview
Our Ti-SAK Scales feature the toothpick slot and the retracing pen, found in the 58mm Mini Champ model.

Please note that these are intended as a permanent replacement for the factory scales. These are precisely machined to match the brass ferrules of a 58mm SAK and will easily press fit into place by hand, or vice or clamps with a piece of leather to pad the jaws. We highly recommend a tiny dab of super glue gel inside each pocket of the titanium scales. DO NOT over glue as you may potentially glue the pen slot shut.

Modification of your 58mm type SAK with these titanium scales are done so at your own risk. This is a home DIY modification. Install with caution, know what you are doing, know how to operate a vice or clamps safely. for 58mm Mini Champ

The SAK Mini Champ is our favorite 58mm model. The assortment of tools are very useful on a daily basis and an ideal supporting, mini multi-tool to your primary carry folder. You might find yourself using this SAK more often than your primary folder. From the Phillips driver to the pen, those are some of the tools you'll find yourself using more than you think. Do it Yourself

The details make the design. From the dive-watch grade GID dot inlay to the precision milling work of the titanium billet, our Ti-SAK Scales are the best quality of make.

Perfect Fit

These Ti-SAK Scales are perfectly fitted to the 58mm Mini Champ. Our precise tolerances in the titanium scales are very high and these will snap fit onto the SAK. However, for a more permanent fit, we recommend a tiny dab of super glue gel in each of the inside pockets before snapping these on. Make sure to keep the action clear on the pen when doing so.

Happy with the Topo

I have been pleased with the results. I put these scales on my Victorinox Manager, and they fit well. I didn't need any glue or epoxy. They were easy to put on. I didn't use a vice, but I stepped on them on our carpeted floor while wearing shoes to ensure they snapped on completely.

The tweezers are more challenging to get to because the scales are not contoured around the edges. So you need to be able to fit the corner of a nail into the notch and under the tweezer head to pull them out. I also need to push the pen harder to lock it into place in the open and closed positions. These are the only cons, and they are not big enough to make me regret purchasing the scales.

I would buy them again.

Great addition, but use speck of glue...

Love these and I've been very happy with them. I do want to add one recommendation: use some glue.
When I first did the conversion, I thought the glue would be overkill. I put them in a vise, heard the soft 'pop', and everything seemed great. The application SEEMED solid. Then a couple weeks later I dropped them about 10' onto some concrete. The sides popped off. I reapplied them with specks of JB Weld added via a toothpick and they are now definitely permanent. So, while a glue-less application may be okay for 90% of the time, I recommend you break our the epoxy / super-glue and a toothpick and make the installation 100% reliable.

Great Scales

I'm very happy with these scales. They look great and the glow is very bright. I've noticed that the back scale has what appears to be chipping and I don't know how because I just installed them. The pen took some opening and closing to get it functional, although it still catches right before each locking point. I had to bend the end of the tweezers a little bit in order to make them accessible, but it still isn't easy. It's fairly hefty so I don't know that I would like this added weight with a mini champ, but it's perfect for the manager that I'm using them for.

Quality upgrade, however a little thicker.

This was an easy upgrade! The topo pattern gives some good grip to the scales also. The Ti scales do make the mini feel a little chunkier than the original scales it ships with, as the edges are not rounded like the plastic.

Ti-SAK Topo Scales Bravo!

These are fine and cool scales. The cost may seem high but these skill will last forever. I can’t tell you how many knives have been set aside unused because the plastics look so bad scratched up. These are keepers! Thank you.
