PDW FT Insulated Water Bottle - All Terrain
10 reviews
Ruggedized-design, highest performance, premium-grade, stainless steel, vacuum-insulated water bottles. Our FT series water bottles feature a custom fluted body design which increases material stiffness and resistance to deformation, and improves tactile grip when wet. These hold 950ml/32oz of liquid which is just about 1L, less a sip. Durable, food grade, copper lined 18/8 stainless steel and vacuum sealed to keep drinks cold or hot, longer. As lifelong backpackers and dispersed campers, we prefer and chose to design our bottles with a "lab-standard wide mouth" opening, which is easy to fill with ice, compatible with many popular backcountry water filters, as well as many aftermarket caps. Available in powder coated Wilderness Green.
The unique design of the FT water bottle series was inspired by vintage bicycle parts, deflective armor, industrial-tool handles, precision barrels, aircraft, and vintage bicycle racing bottles from the 40s-50s.
Everyone needs a new water bottle, right?!? Yes! Actually, when these first dropped I wanted one but was already using one of the previous generation bottles which was serving me just fine. Fast forward and that bottle, while still going strong, has had a few bumps and dents. I decided to try the this new version and I am not disappointed at all. The texturing is perfect and provides a solid purchase. It does not allow for stickers to be added which I always liked to personalize my bottles with but no big deal. Water taste is great and I immediately swapped out the cap for the sip lid. Excellent!

PDW water bottle
Love the green color and the overall design. The image on the bottle top is cool as well. Keeps contents warm or cold much longer than expected. Built tough as well, dropped a few times already and it’s held up

It’s okay….
It’s a decent water bottle, but it is NOT copper lined as it says in the description, it’s stainless steel lined..not sure if y’all are referring to the type of stainless used, like in cookware (stainless with a copper core) It’s kinda misleading. Pretty much the only reason I got it. The cap feels like it’s full of sand when you try to screw it on….really gritty. As a matter of fact, this is the only water bottle I’ve ever purchased where it feels gritty trying to screw it on. Will be returning

Best Bottle I’ve Used
It has been hot! But regardless of the weather, I have been clearing brush, cutting up storm fallen trees and cutting down standing dead trees. What has kept me going is a cool drink from the PDW FT Insulated Bottle. I’ll load that up with water and ice before going out and the water is cold all day. Matter of fact, there is a big chunk of ice in the bottom waiting to cool the next filling from the gallon water jug I bring along in the ATV. This bottle has held up better and kept my water cooler than other bottles. The fluted sides also make it easier to hold with heavy duty gloves. I haven’t run over it yet, but it has taken a tumble or two in the cab. The surface finish is holding up very well! Nary a scratch or chip on it! It hasn’t leaked a drop but it is easy to open. That’s great when you are desperate for a cold drink. Great design and build. The only downside is for PDW; I’ll probably never need another one. I look for winter work outside and taking the bottle with me filled with coffee.

Great bottle cap needs work
Great water bottle but the cap feels really gritty with donning and doffing. Not sure if it is the threads or gasket that need improving, otherwise good product.
