This Special Projects Division CA.lifornia S.pecial O.ut t.he F.ront is a compact and legal to carry in the state of California, automatic knife. Precision made from aerospace grade T6061 aluminum, 6AL-4V titanium, Crucible MAGNACUT® blade steel, and best in class Hyperglow. This design reflects an apex of our purpose driven, refined, functional tool aesthetic, design and production ethos at Prometheus Design Werx. Available with a a Black DLC handle finish.

It is the finer points in design that defines the goods that PDW design and makes. In addition to the expertly machine jimping, pocket clip and Hyperglow glow dot in the titanium switch, this version of the CAS OTF features a Crucible Magnacut® blade.

Our Founder and Chief Designer Patrick Ma strives to apply his unique design perspective in all of PDW's goods. From something as pedestrian as his intentional choice of using a billet titanium pocket clip over a low cost sheet metal type to an machined lanyard hole cleverly integrated in the handle, it's this ethos which makes our goods stand apart.

Solid Little Tool!

Always a fan of PDW gear and this one doesn’t disappoint!

Buttery Smooth

Of all the knives I own there are only 3 OTF ones. Two of them are this knife with two different colored handles. This is not a big blade but it is effective for 90% of what I use a knife for on a daily basis. The action is smooth and easy to activate.
