Ti-Compass Pendant
-
Overview
A magnetic compass distilled to its most capable, wearable form. Thread the Ti-Compass Pendant on 550 cord, paracord, or any non-magnetic chain. Attach to a lanyard using a girth hitch loop. Carried around the neck or clipped to gear, it functions as a reliable backup navigation reference in the backcountry, on the water, or in the field.
The compass face is black with glow-in-the-dark markings, and the GID cushion gasket provides both protection and secondary illumination at night. Laser etched on the case back is the Vegvísir, an Icelandic magical stave said to help the bearer find their way through rough weather and unknown roads. A fitting mark for a compass built without compromise.

FAQs
What type of compass is inside the Ti-Compass Pendant?
It uses an oil-filled button compass with an acetylcellulose body and a black face with glow-in-the-dark markings. Oil-filled compasses dampen needle movement for quicker, steadier readings compared to dry-pivot designs.
Is the Ti-Compass Pendant waterproof?
Yes. The Ti-Compass Pendant is depth rated to 100M (approximately 330 feet). The milled titanium case and silicone GID gasket provide a sealed, water-resistant enclosure suitable for diving, kayaking, and all-weather carry.
What does the Vegvísir symbol on the back mean?
The Vegvísir is an Icelandic magical stave, traditionally said to help the bearer find their way through rough weather and unknown terrain. It is laser etched on the case back as a fitting emblem for a navigation tool built to perform when it counts.
What cord or chain works with the Ti-Compass Pendant?
The left-right axis cord bore accepts 550 cord, paracord, standard cordage, or any non-magnetic chain. It also attaches to a lanyard via girth hitch. The PDW Ti-Ball Chain is the ideal pairing for a clean, purpose-built wear setup.
Will oil bubbles in the compass affect performance?
No. Small bubbles may appear or disappear as a result of altitude or barometric pressure changes. This is normal behavior for all oil-filled compasses and does not affect needle accuracy or directional function.
