The AL-FS is a rugged, yet lightweight, compact, capsule type, survival lighter for starting campfires. Precision milled from T6061 aircraft grade aluminum billet. This capsule lighter features a classic industrial knurled texture on the surface, making it easier to securely to grasp in cold and wet conditions. An essential EDC lighter for your firemaking and survival needs. Available in an anodized green finish for visual recognition and identification.

A small, pocketable, personal fire starter or lighter, that uses lighter fluid has been a staple part of an individual’s field kit since the ones issued or privately purchased during WWI. Most anyone understands the fundamental importance of starting a fire when in the field and in a wilderness survival scenario. While we are also strong proponents of being proficient in starting fires with other methods and/or tools such as the ferro rod to drill bow, having an easily accessible, reliable and durable lighter is indispensable and much more expedient in starting a life saving fire (or even if just to make all important s'mores).

Our AL-FS is designed as a simple and reliable fire starter for camp and survival. Using refillable, classic lighter fluid, white gas, or even jet fuel; this device ignites via the sparking "flint" wheel. Precision milling with modern CNC and silicone o-ring constructions ensures tighter tolerances for longer storage life and features a tried and true industrial knurled surface to facilitate positive contact when opening and closing.

Small enough to be a zipper pull as mentioned in another review, but absolutely functional. I filled it when I got it and have kept it in my pocket every day as an edc just to test it. No leaks, the fluid hasn’t evaporated as it would have in your Zippo. Construction and design are top notch.
