Newly updated, a best grade, versatile, amphibious-rated, EDC and Field compass accessory that can be worn on a nylon NATO to MN Para type watch bands in 20mm to 22mm, or in its silicone carrier for multiple carry options. Our button compass unit is rated to a depth of 100M/300' and encapsulated in the lowest profile, precision machined titanium case available today. The kit includes four colors of silicone carriers. Available in a fine matte finish to match watch cases with similar finish.

Our EWBCK 2.0 is newly redesigned for a smaller diameter and height, making this the lowest profile, titanium encased, dive rated, button compass available anywhere. A split back to fit over closed-loop style watch bands like variants of the Marine Nationale Paras.

Another significant update is the ability to change out the compass element effortlessly and without any tools. Swap out button compasses as needed, or for the optional thermometer.

The new split back design allows for the mounting of these to closed-loop type watch bands like the Marine Nationale Para variety. And of course these will slide over your standard NATO type bands as well.

In addition to compatibility with a number of nylon-centric watch bands, our Expedition Watch Band Compass Kit 2.0 now also includes all 4 colors of silicone carriers. Change out the differently colored carriers to your liking or needs. The gray, OD green, and orange feature UV inhibitors to prevent fading and the 4th is glow-in-the-dark.

  • Compass: Oil Filled with an Acetyl Cellulose Body
    • Note that oil filled compasses of any type may have tiny bubbles appear and disappear over time. This is a natural result of changes in altitude and barometric pressure in your area of use. These tiny bubbles, if they do appear, do not affect the accuracy or function of the your compass in any way. 
  • Carrier Body: Silicone with UV Inhibitors or Glow-in-the-Dark Pigment

Nice little gem!

I‘m really impressed by the craftsmanship of the Expedition Watch Band Compass Kit 2.0 as always with the EDC stuff from the Prometheus guys!
Perfectly matches my Victorinox I.N.O.X. Professional Diver in style and material. Great move to produce a Ti case that can be unscrewed to swap the compass e.g. for a new one or even for a thermometer.

Great job, PDW! As always!

The compass kit/thermometer pairs great with my marathon pilots watch….the matte finish compares with the watch almost perfectly

2nd gen. compass

Better than the 1st gen. Smaller diameter and lower profile with a nice beveled corner. Doesn’t hang up on a coat sleeve like the 1st gen. had a tendency to do upon occasion. Be aware that even tightening it only finger tight, makes it very difficult too unscrew. A little anti seize on the threads will help tremendously. Very nice piece of kit.

Perfect piece of kit!

PDW knocked it out of the park again! The slimmer profile is a great improvement and the ability to install it on an elastic band (like the PDW offering) is a major plus!

Split Back Design

The new design of the compass works great on watch bands that are made of a thicker material. Being able to replace or use the other thermometer option is also a bonus. Thank you for the thoughtful design and upgrades.
