The Performance
Fiber of Warriors

As worn and used by the mounted warriors of Genghis Khan centuries ago, you can take full advantage of this superior natural fiber to use in the wilderness and modern world of today. The PDW A.G. Shemagh is uncompromising modern performance using the king of natural fibers. Configurable in a multitude of ways, you can use it as a scarf, oversized neckerchief, and tie it in any way a traditional shemagh can.

Nature's
Technical
Excellence

PDW took the everyday cotton shemagh to the next level by creating a version with the world's finest natural performance fiber, cashmere. Cashmere is finer, lighter, stronger, is at least 3X warmer than wool and is unsurpassed for comfort in the field. Versatile and exceptional.

Long
Life
Apparel

PDW designs and makes apparel to last beyond the typical industry standards. We do not subscribe to disposable consumerism or wasteful fast-fashion. We build things to last without intentionally planned obsolescence. Most of our apparel styles will last a minimum of 5 seasons and in some instances several lifetimes.

So soft and warm

Bought this scarf on sale. I already own a cashmere scarf which I bought at a department store for half of the price. But, you get what you pay for. The quality of this scarf is twice that of the scarf I already own. It is the softest and warmest scarf I have ever worn. I wish that they could have made it a bit longer being that I like to tie my scarves in all kinds of ways. With this PDW scarf, I am limited to the “classic wrap”, “basic drape” and a tight “simple loop”.

Honestly exceptional

At this price point may not be a need for some but its next level for those that know. Saving a few dollars and sacrificing comfort is not ideal. After an long day Cashmere still does its job like you just put it on. Cotton stops performing well very shortly in severe conditions

Brilliant piece of cold weather kit

I've finally had a chance to really test the Cashmere Shemagh. I spent a week in Nunavut in mild winter conditions, windy but only -16 C. The Shemagh was excellent to keep the wind from biting too much. The real test was this past week in the Northwest Territories with temperatures dipping to the -40s, into -50 C with windchill. The Shemagh was perfect to wrap around my face and head. It kept my cheeks and nose warm and even stayed soft despite the frozen moisture from breathing. I am very happy with it, feel it will hold up to rough use getting stuffed in pockets and packs, and will remain a reliable piece of my cold weather kit.
