I've finally had a chance to really test the Cashmere Shemagh. I spent a week in Nunavut in mild winter conditions, windy but only -16 C. The Shemagh was excellent to keep the wind from biting too much. The real test was this past week in the Northwest Territories with temperatures dipping to the -40s, into -50 C with windchill. The Shemagh was perfect to wrap around my face and head. It kept my cheeks and nose warm and even stayed soft despite the frozen moisture from breathing. I am very happy with it, feel it will hold up to rough use getting stuffed in pockets and packs, and will remain a reliable piece of my cold weather kit.
