Answer to the quality response
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my feedback. Just to insure that you are aware I can read…and that f the new weight is 500 instead of 1000 then you have your information wrong as I ordered a grey & multicam that both Indicate 500…..but the grey is still visibly thicker & heavier. I have also measured the straps and these are thinner too….dont get me wrong I buy your gear because it’s made in the USA or gear made in countries where the people can live from their work and support a family - that is really great!!! But I was disappointed but the quality decrease of the materials not the overall bag….traveling by car without these would be a nightmare! Keep up the good work - and my comment was feedback not a critique
That's on us for the 1000D vs 500D typo, thanks for calllng that out, it has been fixed. We wil discuss the webbing thickness with our factory. That shouldn't have been an issue and we will double check the spec. Other than that the 500D is USA Cordura, still quite strong and durable, but again, some camo patterns from Crye only comes in the 500D.

Great bags BUT quality has decreased with this version
The bag has lost 150gr since the last model - the fabric lets light thru & is about half the thickness of previous models….even if it’s PDW seems like they are cutting corners/quality to improve return! Disappointing because these were amazing bags, this was my 6th CaB for WE/Camping/skiing/trips/shopping perfect add on bags! You should revert to the old thicker cordura (would even use them to carry water in them for the camp…) What a pity :-(
Hi Matthew, it is unfortunate that you would immediatley make the incorrect assumption that somehow PDW is out to 'cut corners'. FYI, some camo prints such as Multicam Tropic ONLY come in 500D, not the typical 'thicker' 1000D we usually use. Given that the Multicam Tropic is only available in the lighter but still strong and durable 500D, we made our CaB-2s in MC Tropic in the 500D, BECAUSE THE 1000D ISN'T AVAILABLE. So NO, we're not, as you put it, 'cutting cornes' here. Additonally we made sure to clearly list the fabric specs on the product page, so anyone who can read could note that the MC Tropic came in 500D. Also, we're not sorry that we continue to make these in the USA, despite growing domestic labor costs an dinflation, we kept the same retail price for this run, AND the 'quality of make' remains the same high American standard as all the previous runs.
