Canteen Pouch - Universal Field Gray

Well, I want to start by saying it is a well made product. I wanted something that had a little extra space to put my canteen the lid cup stove military Combo in, while being able to enclose it from the elements like sand dirt leaves ect. Utilizing the extra space to put a small fire kit in with a couple trioxane tabs and maybe some chem tabs.

When I got it in my hand I was immediately skeptical. I pulled my military canteen set out of its military canteen pouch and placed it in this one. I tried to close the lid and had to move the buckle to its longest position. I then had to still slip the straps on either side of the cap just like on the issued version to get it to buckle. This pulls the lids sides downward around the cap, leaving gaping openings on both sides.
In other words, it’s nearly identical to the military issued version I already have. So what’s the point?

Y’all really need to add a picture with a canteen kit inside of your product. Then I would have known it wouldn’t fulfill the role I was needing it to. It doesn’t do anything the issued version can’t already do.
Super disappointed.

I’ve already figured out several uses for this pouch besides holding a canteen. It seems well made and has some good features. I think the cover and strap system is a bit overbuilt, but it’ll sure do the job and then some. Love the orange liner. I’ll attach a couple of loop fields for PDW cateyes and such. Thanks
