Durability without excess weight is something we always consider in our pack designs. To this day, we have found 500D Cordura to be a great balance of both long life-durability and lesser weight. We have found some fabric "flavors of the month" of the past few years for packs, are too stiff, or "crunchy", and some, while fantastically lightweight, won't handle the rigors of day in and day out use in multiple environments, or are simply too specialized.

Also addressing the less durable stretch fabrics used for most packs' water bottle pockets, we introduced a brand new double gusseted design using the 500D but utilizing adjustable shock cord, which is user replaceable, should the elastic ever blow out.

We chose to use alloy tension hooks for the top lid closure and compression straps at the request of a number of climbers we know. The rationale behind this request was so some of the main point buckles wouldn't be vulnerable to cracking like the nylon or acetal type, if stepped on with rock underfoot when the pack was on the ground.

The W.U.U.L.F. Pack 24L, like our S.H.A.D.O. Pack 24L, represents a lifelong, yet constantly evolving core design ethos and aesthetic seen throughout all of our PDW products. The DNA of the W.U.U.L.F. Pack 24L can be traced to the classic design and engineering lineage of the core outdoor and alpine sports tradition.

The open-top main compartment welcomes random bulky loads and enough organizational details to handle your basic, supporting EDC needs. Designed to Last

To address the less durable stretch fabrics used for most packs' water bottle pockets, we introduced a new double-gusseted design using the 500D and adjustable shock cord. And should the cord elastic ever blow out, it is user replaceable.

Wilderness Utility Urban Lay Flat

The W.U.U.L.F. Pack 24L gets its name from it’s unique feature of a center front 2-way zipper. This style zipper opening allows a secondary B.E. access/entry point into the main compartment with the top lid closed, and when the top lid is opened and laid flat on any suitable surface, can be fully zipped opened to allow access to nearly 90% of the main compartment.

The WUULF is the perfect summit pack

One of the many things i love about the WUULF Pack 24L is the removable frame sheet.

This allows me to roll it up and cinch it down and pack it into my main sustainment pack. We we go out we typically, find an area at a water source closest to out main objective and drop our heavy packs, and Set up a base camp there.

Those of us who have day packs will then load up our day packs with food water and extra layers for the hike up to the summit. I used to use my main sustainment pack as my summit pack but i found it to be needlessly heavy even when mostly empty. The. I picked up a 20L packable backpack which was a drastic improvement in wieght but i found that Its lack of ridgidity made carrying my water and Other items uncomfortable and if i had to bring climbing gear as we did during our glacier traverses it was pretty much useless.

From accessibility to adaptability and it’s overall durability, the Promotheus Design Werx WUULF Pack is more than likely going to outlast a majority of the other 24-28 liter packs on the market. It’d the kind of daypack you use for years, take a break from, and go back to. As someone who’s been using a top loader since high school for college, the day job, and work trips as well - it makes a great a great work bag as well.

Great quality bag so far, with great features that most bags do not have. My only complain is the inner lining isn't as durable but I assume the intent was for breathability and lightweight, which the bag is very much so. Considering the high quality buckles and well designed straps.

Has all the adjustability one can wish for.
