StormTek™

Our StormTek™ waterproof/breathable ePTFE technology is storm rated to 23,000mm HH waterproofness and a MTVR of 21,000g/m2; both at the top end of the highest performance range of 3-layer fabrics. Excellent waterproof protection, excellent breathability for active comfort.

Durable
Light
Agile

The Aegis LT features a custom milled 40D nylon mini-ripstop shell with a C6 DWR finish. This was a great balance between durability, abrasion resistance and lighter weight to allow the wearer to be fast on their feet and more agile without excess bulk. The Aegis LT is also more packable.

Cohaesive
Integrated
Components

In keeping with the high level technical performance characteristics, PDW uses Cohaesive Integrated Components in the construction of our outerwear. This is an intelligent system managing shock cords and hardware in an efficient, streamlined and low profile manner.

Performance
Driven

In addition to total protection against rain, wind and snow, the Aegis LT pushed other performance driven design details such as using a custom milled, 30D, wicking, poly inner facing to dramatically improving next to skin comfort, and engineered patterning to allow for ample layering. Other carefully considered features include a zippered, interior Napoleon pocket with reinforced pen slot/electronic device wire port.

Built for
Adventure

PDW's technical apparel is performance driven, mission driven, and built for adventure. The Aegis LT features an articulated 3-panel hood with welded mini-bill and is helmet cut to fit most bump helmets.

Great build quality, a few issues

The jacket material is very nice. The design is well done, but the cuffs are very stiff and practically either stay rounded out or cinched.

Amazing value:dollar

Arc teryx got a little crazy, this shell is every bit as good as my Alphas, better in some ways. Patrick and Crew have really knocked their newer apparel out of the park.

Great packable midlayer jacket

I recently went on a hunt in the bob marshall and old man winter wasn't finished yet. I took this thinking I would have spring rains but instead got lots of snow. It worked fantastic and is a tad heavier than I would like but will sacrifice the weight of it for it's ability to keep my dry and comfortable. Also makes for a great ground pad to sit on for extended periods of time.

So Far So Good…

So far so good…. I’ve only worn in a few times but I’m quite impressed so far. It is lighter than my Outdoor Reasearch ORPro Allies Mountain jacket, which I like. It’s manufactured very well with great materials. I really like the bicep pockets too. Those pockets allow me to keep things locked up but close at hand like keys or a neck gaiter. I’m looking forward to putting it through I it’s paces on my upcoming hiking trip.
