The PDW Camp Stash Box 400ML is a compact, watertight stainless steel container engineered for the camp kitchen, the trail, and everywhere in between. Built from food-grade 304/18-8 stainless. No BPA, no phthalates, none of the chemical leaching that comes with plastic. It secures your contents behind a double-latch lid lined with a removable silicone gasket. Airtight. Crush-resistant. Sized at 400ML/13.5oz to fit what matters without adding dead weight to the pack.

This box started life with a specific mission: carry three complete sets of s'mores makings for a solo three-day trip. One per night, one backup for when something hits the dirt. The box does its job. The rest is up to you.

The secure double latch lid will foil any larcenous rodent with designs on your precious campside treats and snacks. The food grade stainless steel will not leach any harmful toxins such as phthalates and bisphenol A (BPA) like from plastic containers, into your food. The airtight lid also ensure your snacks stay fresher, longer.

The lids are lined with a removable silicone seal (gasket). This keeps the contents of the Camp Stash Box watertight and leakproof. Simply remove the seal (gasket) and place on top rack of dishwasher or hand wash with soapy water when it comes time to clean.

What is the PDW Camp Stash Box 400ML made of?

The Camp Stash Box 400ML is constructed from 304 (18-8) food-grade stainless steel, the same alloy used in commercial kitchen equipment. The lid seal is removable food-grade silicone. No plastics are in contact with your food or gear, which means no BPA and no phthalate leaching.

 

 

Is the PDW Camp Stash Box actually watertight?

Yes. The lid is sealed by a removable silicone gasket held closed by two independent latches. The construction is watertight and leakproof under normal pack and camp conditions. It is not rated for submersion, but it will keep contents dry in rain, condensation, and pack environments.

 

 

How big is the 400ML Camp Stash Box and what fits inside?

The interior measures 114mm x 75mm (4.50" x 2.95") with 54mm of depth. 400ML/13.5oz of usable volume. It holds three complete s'mores sets, a personal first aid kit, a full fire-starting kit (tinder, fatwood, matches), trail snacks for a day, or a dense collection of small EDC items. The 800ML version is available if you need more capacity.

 

 

How do you clean the PDW Camp Stash Box?

Remove the silicone lid gasket and place both the box and gasket on the top rack of a dishwasher, or hand wash with soap and water. The gasket pops back into the lid channel when dry. Stainless steel does not absorb odors or stain under normal use.

 

 

How does the PDW Camp Stash Box compare to plastic containers or Altoid tins?

Plastic containers leach BPA and phthalates into food over time, especially with temperature cycling common in camping conditions. Altoid tins have no seal, crush under pack pressure, and rust. The Camp Stash Box is crush-resistant 304 (18-8) stainless, sealed airtight, and food-safe with no chemical off-gassing. Great Stash Box

I recently bought a few of these boxes in both small and large. Great quality materials and seal. I use one of the small ones often for holding some trail mix that I keep in my shop so I have a ready snack at hand.

Good to Go for many things

I am using these containers for:
Nocks and target points and inserts, superglue, Loctite and lighter, broadheads when traveling.

Got these to upgrade from altoid tins for my little dude’s snacks on the go.

The size is just spot on for a smaller amount of something. Great materials as always and the gasket has made wet foods an option for getting out there! Will need more!
