The CWO Full Zip Sweater is a modern classic, taking cues from the British Commando Sweater from WWII, but updated and upgraded with extra fine 18.5 micron merino yarns, machine washable and is easy on/off with the addition of the full zippered opening.  and is a substantial 2+lbs in yarn weight. Merino wool is nature's original technical material, no-melt, no-drip and insulates when wet. We partnered with a family owned, fine Italian woolen mill that has been making sweaters for generations. With the grand Dolomites as their backyard, they know a thing or two about mountaineering sweaters. Exactly What I Hope for

I bought the CWO sweater late last year and used it throughout the Winter and early Spring. The design was spot on for me with warm high collar, 2 way zipper, hand pockets, and reinforced shoulders and elbows.
Initially, I was cautious, as it is attractive, wool knit and expensive, so it saw lighter use. There was no need. It is so warm and comfortable it became my go to for errands, hikes or just chilly mornings on the deck.
While I’ve never abused it, it has held up beautifully through hikes and chores. If anything it has gained a bit of character. Well done PDW.
