This Special Projects Division CA.lifornia S.pecial O.ut t.he F.ront is a compact and legal to carry in the state of California, automatic knife. Precision made from aerospace grade T6061 aluminum, 6AL-4V titanium, Crucible MAGNACUT® blade steel, and best in class Hyperglow. This design reflects an apex of our purpose driven, refined, functional tool aesthetic, design and production ethos at Prometheus Design Werx. Available with a Gray anodized handle.

It is the finer points in design that defines the goods that PDW design and makes. In addition to the expertly machine jimping, pocket clip and Hyperglow glow dot in the titanium switch, this version of the CAS OTF features a Crucible Magnacut® blade.

Our Founder and Chief Designer Patrick Ma strives to apply his unique design perspective in all of PDW's goods. From something as pedestrian as his intentional choice of using a billet titanium pocket clip over a low cost sheet metal type to an machined lanyard hole cleverly integrated in the handle, it's this ethos which makes our goods stand apart.

Beautiful small knife

I collect small knives and this is a gem! The action is crisp and the blade material perfect! What a great little knife!!😀

Sweet Little OTF

Works great for basic cutting needs. Nice titanium deep-pocket-clip helps it stay out of the way when you don’t need it. Such a smooth action opening and closing. Great little fidget as well. My dad liked it so much so I bought one for him too!

SPD PDW CAS OTF

I truly love this little otf. It’s not the cheapest I’ll admit, and has all the normalcies like slight blade rattle that your standard big name otfs almost always have but slightly less. (Possibly due to the thinner smaller blade shape and profile.) The magnacut blade is done wonderfully and so far it’s held up great. Nice touch on the hyperglow button in the actuator switch… Fit and finish are superb and if your a knife nut like me, I now want the same otf but with the terravantium cobalt from terrain 365. All in all I can’t recommend this little guy enough. All I want to know now is how do I get me hands on the forever sold out SPD PDW UFO OTF….. don’t wait if your on the fence this micro OTF doesn’t disappoint.

Awesome knife with one draw back

The deployment on the knife is great and it’s feels great in the hand. My only issue is the blade a some wobble to it when it’s deployed. I’m not sure if all are like this or if it’s just mine. I would still recommend this knife to a friend the wobble on the blade is just slight negative for me.
