Ti-Ring Strap 22mm - Gray
The Ring or "G10" strap originally entered service in 1973 with the British Ministry of Defence. It was made with a thin nylon strap and came with chrome plated brass buckles and "ring" keepers. PDW chose to use titanium in the rings and buckles for total corrosion resistance on land or under the sea, and 100% non-magnetic as to not interfere with the strap worn compasses such as our EWB-Compass Kit. With the proliferation of rare earth magnets being used in today's bags, wallets, key fobs, and other EDC items, we found that these magnets affected the typical stainless rings used in most NATO type straps on the market. Not only are rare earth magnets harmful to the internal mechanics of a fine mechanical watch, the magnetized stainless steel rings affected any compasses used as supporting accessories on a watch strap. Our Ti-Ring eliminated magnetic interference and offers superior performance and durability in the field.

Way too long.
Hi Mike, as with any nylon type watch strap, they can be cut down if deemed too long. A clean cut and a Bic will help seal any loose threads. These straps should fit down to a 6.5' wrist which is pretty small. These types of straps are made purposefully long so they can be worn over thick wetsuits if needed. Cheers mate.A
The strap is nice and looks of good quality. However I was a little disappointed when I saw the “Made in China” sticker on the plastic wrapper that contained the strap. To be fair PDW does not state or imply that it was US made but I kinda feel like I was lead to believe that it was. I don’t mind paying a premium for made in the USA goods and that’s what I thought I was doing here.
Thanks for the review DR. Please note that while we consider this to be a premium product, it is not sold as at a USA-made premium price point. We created an excellent strap with titanium hardware and was able to offer it for sub-$40 by going offshore for production. During our initial development stages, the estimated retail for a USA-made version would have been in excess of $109.00 each. And we felt that it would have been too high for our core consumer, and for us compounded by excess inventory deadstock resulting from consumer price rejection.J
I've had the strap about a week now. Initially it was quite stiff, but with a few showers, and 5+ days of constant wear under its strap... it's worn in very nicely. The strap is comfortable, breathes well, and is strong. I'm sure in weeks/months/years to come it will only get better.
If you're considering this strap - go for it. It's aesthetically pleasing, and supremely functional. Highly recommended!J
Excellent quality, fits perfectly, and well-finished. Perfect for my Seiko Shogun.J
