All Terrain Cloth
Our All Terrain Cloth is the lightest weight technical, performance fabric we make and offer. It is custom milled to our specs, custom dyed, features 4-way stretch, a DWR finish and is quick-dry. Just about every apparel style we make involves custom made materials, parts and trims, created to our exacting specifications. This requires a tremendous amount of work, careful attention to detail and management to ensure everything is made to our satisfaction and held to our high standards. The end result is expertly made, world class apparel with a finer degree of detail and highest quality of make. For some, it's a difference you can feel and see; and most importantly, how well our technical apparel will perform in all terrains and in the toughest of conditions.
At PDW we design our technical apparel to operate in as many environments and conditions as possible. Our 72 Hour Short is no different. This style is ideal for hot weather and great for adventures in and out of the water. The earth is covered by 71% water. These shorts are amphibious rated and are as versatile and capable as you are.
The 72 Hour Short is one of the last technical shorts of its kind to be designed, cut and sewn in the USA. Made in our home state of California, the birthplace of the core outdoor/mountain sports industry. Nope, US labor ain't cheap, but when you're purchasing one of our made in USA goods, you are supporting an American workers' living wage, and what's left of domestic apparel manufacturing in our country. We thank you for your support.
Long Life Apparel. On average, PDW apparel is designed and made to last a minimum of 5 seasons. Durability, high level function, performance and less waste are integral to PDW's product mission. While actual mileage is highly subjective and based on an individual's use and lifestyle, we strive to build goods to last, beyond the industry's typical life cycle standards, and we do not subscribe to wasteful "fast fashion" or disposable consumerism.
I really like these shorts for wearing around the house and working in the yard. I can jump right in the water to cool off afterwards. I also like them for working out and other exercise. They have great pockets for holding your stuff while you're driving or sitting, unlike most "gym" shorts. I wear them to the beach, especially when taking the dogs to the beach because the pockets are so good and I can still swim with them with a ball in my pocket and my car door key. I have not worn them for 72 hours straight, but I do wear them commando without issue when I know I'll be getting in the water. I bought one in each color and would recommend them. Forgot to add that they hold a blade and a holster just fine.
