Prometheus Design Werx

EDC to
the Wilderness

This day pack has the objective of functioning as an extension of its user in their everyday carry needs, to any number of adventures and tasks in the field and wilderness. The pack name itself is an acronym based on the primary, top level design criteria it was built under. S.uspension, H.aul, A.ccess, D.urability, O.rganized. One of the most notable design aspects is the unique and distinct shape derived from a series of 3-dimensional arcs and a major and minor axes.

Details Make the Design

The S.H.A.D.O. Pack 24L shines in its carefully considered suite of functional details. From small, smart conveniences like the shock cord ice axe/tool keepers, the Gear Trap™ for securing bump/bike helmets, laser cut M.OLLE C.ompatible A.rray to mount MOLLE style accessory pouches, to even a loop panel to attach your morale patch choice of the day, or something more mission critical like an IFF marker.

Full Suspension

Contoured shoulder straps with MCA™ mounting points, sternum strap ladder, removable waist belt and lumbar pad; all with ventilated closed cell ripple foam padding for durable, long lasting comfort and stability while under load.

Modularity

The SHADO Pack 24L excels in its versatility. For wilderness and field use, the included padded waist belt offers additional support, stability and even more mounting options for EDC pouches such as our SP1. For street and urban use, the modular feature of the padded waist belt allows for it to be quickly removed for a more streamlined and stripped down mode of everyday carry. Scale this pack up or down and dial it in for your daily needs.

The main compartment is now at the full volume, with a deeper tub. The included (removable) EDCO Panel allows the user to infinitely customize their pack carry set-up.

Amazing everyday/work backpack

This is an amazing everyday/ work backpack. I love the ineterior panel that allowed me to accessorize and organize all my marking, writing bits in one bag and charging bits in another while being removable. More than enough room for laptop/ iPad and I love the mesh pockets for loose items or small notepads. Waiting on Velcro straps to come back in stock to finish setting up my bag proper. Amazing bag, great quality and I would highly recommend.

Honestly a must buy for those who CCW/EDC

I really appreciate the compartments, organizes all my everyday carry supplies perfectly, I can have the medic supplies perfectly where I need them. Still have room for other supplies. The discreet design keeps it perfect for those public transportation travels, and hiking days. Extremely satisfied with my purchase. A must recommend to anyone who EDC’s.

About 90% there

So overall this pack checks a lot of boxes, but still needs a few tweaks. Here’s what I think would make this pack perfect.
1. Waist belt straps should be the pull forward to tighten design. The pull fwd design is more efficient in tightening and easier to loosen.
2. Bottom of the beavertail should have a mesh floor like the Moskomoto wildcat to prevent items from dropping out the bottom, but also let water/sand fall through.
3. The beavertail buckles should be reversed so the tails of the straps are towards the beavertail instead of towards your shoulders. It’ll make it easier to cinch down and eliminate all the excess by your shoulders/neck. This is also a design on the Mosko moto bag.

I loved the Mosko bag, but at 12L and lacking in a couple areas that this bag solved, I figured I’d try this one out.

Fantastic build quality

If your looking for a smaller backpack, this one's for you. The options you get for making things organized is quite impressive. It is very well built and I look forward to many years of use. The straps are comfortable and being able to remove the waist belt is nice. I have been trying to find something negative and there is not one. I just wish they would make this pack but in a 40 or 60 liter version.
